OPEN WINDOW
2019

Open Window is a sculpture in motion. It is a slice of a captured cloud. Open Window is composed of a thin vat of transparent glass inside which a mist is sculpted and evoluates infinitely. The process of infinite appearance and disappearance follows a controlled partition written by the artist. Nonetheless Open Window remains sensitive to its environment and the mist evoluates into flames or volutes depending on several parameters like temperature or light. In the continuation of her previous work on cloud capture, MLN wanted to create a slice of cloud collected in 2019 in Paris. The metamorphosis of the sculpture is slow and invites contemplation. It gives a glimpse of the space that is hidden behind it.
