A Summer of Celebration is a work that embodies the harvesting and materialization of the pure essence of clouds, a meticulous process carried out by Marie-Luce Nadal, an artist fascinated by capturing natural phenomena. Through a regular practice, she extracts this essence and redistributes it in enclosed environments, thus giving life to a series of works titled Eoloriums. A Summer of Celebration, presented here, is a captivating sculpture resulting from the collection of a cloud harvested in Paris in 2022 on a lead sheet. This evolving piece contains a cloud in perpetual motion, orchestrated by a suspended machine that monitors its appearances and disappearances. The atmosphere in which the cloud evolves oxidizes, becomes covered with clouds, or clears up, influenced by its environment, creating a continuously transforming visual experience.
